Come
on, you know you're sluffing off on the job... in fact,
according to a recent study, most workers are now spending
up to half their time at work on the internet for personal
reasons. So, personally... you get bored just like we
do, right? Well, here's what several of tfn's
staffers recommend in order to kill a slow afternoon:
D.J.:
My favorite website is, uh... hell... I really like aintitcoolnews.com
because I'm the ULTIMATE NEEEEEEURD and like to know what's
going on with genre type movies and shit. I'm a dork for
a sneak peek at the new Batman movie, you know?
I mean-- thefootnote.com! That's my favorite site! EVER!
Closely followed by tlchicken.com! Then, in third, purelard.net!!!
Yeah. Them's my faves. Good times all.
Heather:
My real favorite website is dictionary.com
because it has endless range in not only defining words
and acronyms, but providing us with a lovely thesaurus
as well, but because I have this strange inkling that
this will also be Laura's favorite website, I'm going
to go with everyone's favorite probably overrated college
staple, homestarrunner.com
because Strong Bad seems to be some type of demi-god.
And because I got bored one day and decided to name my
guitar after Marzipan's guitar, Carol. So, in sum, go
watch Teen Girl Squad. It's SOOOOO GOOD!
Cousy:
I wish I had something cool to forward along, but I really
just don't. My bland sports self, usually surfs around
tsn.ca for hockey news
and metroboards.com
for blue jackets banter. When looking for long term website
fun, I go to whatifsports.com,
a sim site for sports. You can pit the `62 Yankees vs
the '03 Cubs and see if Steve Bartman interfers. Or try
the Season Two Blue Jackets against the Season Three Blue
Jackets and see which teams really is worse.
Fingers:
ESPN.com's Page 2
is probably where I spend most of my time. I don't have
internet at work, so I have to read it at home. That kind
of sucks, because the wife likes to hog the computer.
Anthony:
My favortie website is probably fark.com,
because you can waste oh-so-much time with Photoshop contests
and flamewars. Other favorites include The
Onion, homestarrunner.com,
ebaumsworld.com,
and buddyhead.
Dustin:
Well, fark.com is my
default start-up page. I also dig moviepoopshoot.com,
because it keeps me informed about everything from movies
to comics. The other two I can strongly recommend are
x-entertaiment,
because Matt writes some of the funniest stuff I've ever
read, and wilwheaton.net,
because, hey--it's Wil Wheaton and he's cool.
