Just last night, the Chicago White Sox closed within two games of baseball’s best story of the year, the Kansas City Royals. This has been one of the best races among several in baseball this year. A’s-M’s, Yankees-RedSox, Marlins-Phillies, Cards-'Stros-Cubs. I love getting up in the morning and flipping on Sportscenter to hear about who won last night and who lost. Seeing highligh…What? No highlights? Where did they go? There are other sports stories before the highlights. What can be more important than scores?
"Kobe Bryant is clipping his toenails backstage of the Coolest NBA Player to Visit Colorado Awards. Nickelodeon has chosen NOT to show this footage though, as it depicts Kobe being violent to a helpless toenail."
"At Ohio State today, Maurice Claret was spotted at a practice session for the Volleyball team. Maurice, who currently is ineligible to practice with the football squad, is eligible to play Volleyball, because he cheated off of one the players exams. The NCAA is investigating whether that player had anything to do with setting up a HELP MAURICE Charity Boxing Event between NFL Hall of Famers Jim Brown and Marcus Allen."
"Ill bet ya Pete Rose will be reinstated sometime before he dies, Commissioner Bud Selig said today."
Commercial break
"As if things could not get any more bizarre in the Baylor basketball program, a hidden videotape shows former coach Bliss using his players to paint his house. Though he did not pay them money to do it, which would have been another NCAA violation, Bliss did supply hookers and drugs, and then tried to put the blame on his neighbor."
"Another tragic twist in the Ted Williams saga. John Henry Williams, Ted’s son, has sold the movie rights to Ted’s body, in order to pay off the $110,000 he still owes the Cryonics Company. The 2 part miniseries will detail Williams frozen body on Tuesday and will have an exclusive interview with Williams frozen head on Wednesday. No word whether the cryonics company will crack the Splinter’s skull for the 11th time, for the special occasion."
"Pete Rose was seen placing a bet today in Las Vegas following Bud Selig’s previous statement. One wonders which scenario he took."
"That’s all for this edition of Sportscenter. Stay tuned to our new show, Scorecenter, which will update you on all the scores and highlights around today world of sports."
