The World Series is alas over. The dream I had at the beginning of the season (and predicted) of a Cubs Vs Yankees World Series was squashed by a floundering fish with great pitching. Some can blame the "Cubs Fan" for getting in the way of the foul ball. It’s ridiculous though. I would have gotten caught up in the moment and tried to catch the friggin' ball too. Clearly he didn’t see Moises Alou running towards the wall. How could you from those seats? My blame falls on the shoulders of Alex Gonzalez, for booting the inning ending double play that was gifted wrapped for him. The curse continues.
But the Fish did more than fry the Cubs. They shocked most of the free world in shutting down an aging Yankee team and winning their second title in their short history. Kudos goes out to Josh Beckett, who finally lived up to his hype in the postseason. He has a blazing fastball, and hopefully, will build on this performance for years to come.
My beloved Yankees though. What happened? Is it possible that we ran out of gas? To be honest, the Red Sox series took more out of me than the World Series. I hate the Red Sox. I wanted to knock them out of the playoffs more than anything in the world. There was so much drama. I nearly killed my brother and buddy when Pedro chucked Don Zimmer across the field. Nothing felt better than watching Pedro fall apart in Game 7. It felt like we had won the Series right there.
In all honesty, I didn’t think the Marlins had a chance. Even after they took a 3-2 games lead. We were headed back to the Big Apple. The ghosts of Gehrig, Mantle, and Joe D. would find a way for us to win. The Marlins shut us down. Thanks Soriano, for striking out 412 times in the playoffs. Thanks Jose, for ruining our bullpen.
And because we are the Yankees, we will reload. Darth Steinbrenner will not let this fade away. Rumors are rampant already of big trades and free agent signings. This team could look totally different come March. Even Joe Torre could hang up the spikes. Which would be fine with me, as long as the reigns go to Willie Randolph.
Farewell Roger Clemens. I’m glad you left the Sox for the Dark Side.
Please don’t leave, Andy Petitte. You are the true ace of this team.
Until March, when the next season begins. I’m going to go have stogie for Jack McKeon

I know how much you have waited for this, and finally here it is:
The Cheap Seats NBA Preview
Well, actually, I don’t care about the NBA. I’m sure the Lakers will win. I imagine that lots of players get in trouble whether its robbery or assault, or something illegal.
LeBron James, good luck to ya, bro. The pressure begins now.
