MLB Playoffs
Joining Division winners Dodgers, Cards, Mets, Jays, Tribe, and A’s will be wild card winners Yankees and Brewers.
Cardinals beat the Mets behind Chris Carpenter's Game 7 gem, out-dueling Pedro Martinez sending the Cardinals back to the Series, and opening a new era for the newly opened Busch Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland offense stuns the world and hammers out the strong pitching of the A’s to head to the World Series.
And as I eluded to in the opening, yet another streak is broken as the Cleveland Indians, led by a monstrous hitting performance by Travis Hafner, takes home the 2006 World Series Championship.
